Does anyone know the difference between double 8 and regular 8? (not super 8) Or is there one? I have a double 8 camera, and would like to start experimenting.

double8 is actually 16mm film that has different sprocket holes. you shoot it once then flip the roll and shoot it again. the lab cuts the roll in half then splices the ends together. regular8 is just that 8mm film.

actualy, i'm pretty sure regular 8 is the same thing as double 8. single 8 and super 8 are the 8mm film formats. there's also double super 8 which is 16mm film with super 8 perforations that is cut in half just like double 8.
